How to read this
Tap a button to switch between city, school board, and parish-wide totals. The line shows the last two years; the gold dot is the newest month. The dashed line marks when Meta construction started, so you can see whether the region’s data-center boom reached Monroe. Green means collections went up from the same time last year; red means they went down.
About this data. Every month, a computer reads the City of Monroe Taxation & Revenue Division’s report and adds the numbers here, net of refunds and adjustments. If the city sends a corrected report later, we swap in the new numbers. “City of Monroe” combines the city’s four sales taxes; “Monroe City School Board” combines its three school taxes; “Parish-wide” is every Ouachita Parish jurisdiction combined. Collections lag sales by roughly two months.
